Relative Values removes music from Spotify
Relative Values has decided that all of their releases will no longer be available on Spotify. Read the band statement below:
We want to share that, effective today, our music will no longer be available on Spotify.
We’re fully aware that this decision might make it harder for new listeners to discover our work — and as an independent band still building our audience, we know it could mean missing out on a lot.
However, as independent artists — and as human beings with the right to stand by our beliefs — we can’t continue to support the way Spotify profits from the art that people like us put on their platform. We also don’t align with what former CEO Daniel Ek is doing with the wealth he has accumulated at the expense of musicians.
We sincerely apologize to everyone who’s tried to find our music there, or who had our songs in their playlists. But we hope this can also be a moment to reflect on where your money goes — and to consider supporting platforms and communities that truly value music and creativity,
With love and respect,
Relative Values

Relative Values Debut's EP Odyssea
Progressive rock duo Relative Values has released their debut EP, Odyssea on streaming. Following an anticipated Bencamp release in November 22nd, 2024, The four-track EP marks a pivotal moment for the independent duo, blending intricate compositions with their signature emotive storytelling.
Featuring singles Natura and Artificia, the EP explores the creative journey of Carlos Mendoza (guitarist/composer) and Daniel Triana (drummer/composer), who have worked together since 2016. With Odyssea, the duo uses Latin-inspired titles and progressive rock influences to craft a cohesive, instrumental narrative.
Tracks on Odyssea include:
• Inception: A melodic introduction setting the tone for the EP.
• Natura: The duo’s first composition, inspired by nature.
• Artificia: A reimagining of Natura’s themes using negative harmony.
• Oasis: A dynamic closer showcasing their compositional style.
“Odyssea reflects our journey as independent musicians and our commitment to creating art that connects with listeners,” says Mendoza. “We chose Bandcamp for an anticipated release because it allows us to generate direct support while valuing our work as artists.”
